A note is said to be concept-oriented when it is untethered from the context which the note was originally taken from. This way, the note can be reused when the same concept is encountered in another context. Notes accumulated this way from disparate sources can be synthesized into a growing personal body of knowledge instead of being siloed in their respective contexts.
