This is a concept developed by Andy Matuschak in his [working notes](https://notes.andymatuschak.org/About_these_notes). Evergreen notes, as opposed to [[transient notes]], accretes. They do not get discarded once the task they were intiailly used for is finished. Instead they form connections with other Evergreen notes to build a personal body of knowledge that stands the test of time (hence, evergreen). It is a note-taking strategy similar to the [[Zettelkasten Method]]. Evergreen notes have four properties, they are: 1. [[atomic]] 2. [[concept-oriented]] 3. [[densely-linked]] 4. [[organically-structured]]
